#278: Bananagrams
Reason to Be Happy #278:
BANANAGRAMS!
My new favorite game. It's Scrabble for the impatient. I love words, but I hate waiting for people who take too long with their turn. (Have you noticed patience is not one of my strengths?) Well, in Banagrams, you don't have to wait for anyone else—it's always your turn! It's addictive. My 9 year old niece is a master at this game! I'm always proud of myself when I manage to beat her. :-)

Finding Notes in Books From Previous Readers
First off, I must admit the photo and the idea are "borrowed" shamelessly from the lovely Katherine Ey's blog, "Forty Days of Small Moments of Happiness," which I encourage you to check out. But I whole-heartedly agree with this one. I love finding notes in the margins of books, or underlined passages, and trying to figure out what those meant to the previous readers. Sometimes an image will be underlined, with a "yes!" written next to it. Once, at the end of a chapter, I found the note, "Will I be brave enough?" (Not the character, but "I"...). You can almost use them as writing prompts, or little glimpses into another life.
