So, so true! Why don't we do this more? The swing trend in the late '90s was when I was in college, and it was an utter blast. I'm determined to throw a themed party from the '40s or '50s (maybe a USO theme), just so my friends and I can all swing dance. Thanks for sharing! (And what wonderful photos.)
It's actually something that college students still do, believe it or not! I got hooked on it a few years ago and can't stop! There are great swing dance communities present in Cinci, Dayton, Lexington, and Columbus! There's a weekend event in August in Cinci this year (third annual!) where all the groups converge for four days of live bands and non-stop dancing!! so much fun!
Author of five novels, most recently THE BLESSINGS OF THE ANIMALS and my first book for tweens, REASONS TO BE HAPPY. Gardener, runner, cook, cat lover, caffeine & movie addict.
