Torching the Sugar on top of a Creme Brûlée
I've already told you that cracking the top of a creme brûlée is one of my reasons to be happy (Reason #235 to be exact). But I only recently had the opportunity to witness the making of this—one of my top five desserts—in person, and to use the torch myself.
 
Scorching the sugar on top is a VERY satisfying activity. Who doesn't love to play with fire?

    I just read Blessings of the Animals. I was surprised at the topics touched on. I loved it. I have 2 service animals and love reading about animals. I also love reading blogs online. What a wonderful mashing of the two.
